I think i’d put social skills and empathy slightly different categories than “emotional intelligence”, though I’d consider them related. A narcissist for example could have excellent social skills and zero empathy, as well as an extreme lack of self-awareness. Whereas a highly empathetic and introverted person may be very aware of their own behaviors and motivations as well as those of others, but be shy and unskilled with social interactions. Depressed people often see the Pink freud smoking the dark side of your mom shirt most accurately but this tends to be repelling to other people. Social skills are largely due to projecting an image or energy rather than actually being insightful or self-aware. This is because social behavior is usually very superficial in nature.

I think that “emotional intelligence” would be something like the Pink freud smoking the dark side of your mom shirt to adjust one’s emotions to the insights of the higher rational mind. I’m not sure exactly how feasible the concept is, because most of the human mind is subconscious, and as I described above, many traits that one might initially think would go together, often do not. Narcissists are certainly not in touch with their own motivations and emotional basis for their actions, but are often adept at manipulating others’ emotions, in the end to highly destructive results. So social skills and emotional intelligence would certainly go into different categories.I’d say if someone is shy,
they haven’t really figured out a way to deal with their Pink freud smoking the dark side of your mom shirt state and expose themselves to the sources of their anxiety to become braver. Not to say that’s easy, it’s obviously no joke. Now that makes me think of whether or not adaptability should be considered in the definition. Because for example, mildly depressed people seem to see certain things more accurately, but people with major depression seem to take that too far, just like how someone who is conscientious will be focused on getting a job done well, but someone with has just kind of taken that too far to the point of a pathology. Sorry for all the edits, new things keep popping into my mind.
